Building Completion or Defect Report

A Building Completion and/or Defect Report is a post-construction inspection of a new build to identify any and all defects, incomplete work, and/or poor or tradesman substandard finish. The resulting report endeavours to identify if the builder is responsible for any given defect and recommends completion and/or rectification works to be undertaken. It is usual to have a Building Completion Report carried out after practical completion of building works and prior to expiry of standard builders’ warranty periods.
